Lower Chippewa/Western Expansion

The Lower Chippewa/Western Expansion Planning Region encompasses 21% of the watershed, or 283,000 acres. This planning region includes the Cottonwood Creek, and communities such as Benson and Milan. The Chippewa River Watershed Association is currently developing a Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan that will prioritize work to improve and protect the natural resources in the watershed.
