Middle Chippewa

The Middle Chippewa Planning Region encompasses 19% of the watershed, or 262,300 acres. this planning region also contains some of the watershed’s most prized recreational lakes, such as Lake Minnewaska and Lake Emily. The Chippewa River Watershed Association is currently developing a Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan that will prioritize work to improve and protect the natural resources in the watershed.
